Every now and then I come across something which reinforces just how far apart the pro-life and pro-choice positions are. It never fails to startle me.
This political advertisement is an excellent example. I would have thought that a series of children speaking to their mothers about the future could only be used to advance a pro-life case. But apparently not.
What do you think? Isn’t this ad just a little bit illogical?
I couldn’t help thinking, as I watched, that these kids are lucky to have survived the abortion culture! I can envisage a sequel to this ad set 20 years in the future, which is just a series of different backgrounds and 48 seconds of silence.
Utterly shameless.
8 year olds worried about women’s rights? Their biggest concern at this point should be learning their times tables and eating their vegetables.
The ultimate power trip of Eve coming of age: the power to make taxpayers pay doctors to kill your child. If Daddy of the baby objects, tough.
I met a young man the other day who said the killing of his unborn son five years ago by his ex-girlfriend felt like it happened yesterday. What can you tell someone in this state, a bloke who has suffered a kind of cruel castration? That his baby lives with God; he will have a new beautiful body on the last day and that his daddy will meet him again.
There is rich evangelisation to be done among those suffering the effects of abortion. But it must direct people towards repentance and reparation. don’t you think?
Hello Mu Mu hope you are well.
The words that the young man you met the other day are the same that I hear in my counselling rooms. Not all males want their baby aborted however, what the pro abortion pro choice lobby has achieved is the idea that all men are non supportive, not interested and therefore its important for the woman to have the facility to abort. It simply is another lie by the rpo abortion feminist lobby.
Dont underestimate the genuinine hearing that their child lives withoGod now and for a time seprarated, but time passes in the blink of an eye.
I love doing this work (post of abortion grief counselling) because there is a such a rich harvest and the labourers are few).
Its the best work on earth because I re unite the bubs with the parent that I have in front of me. I help rebuild the life of the child and then let the child go but this time in peace. Never to be forgotten but remembered without pain.
Keep saying the beautiful words, they are life filled.
Anne, I believe you are being persecuted because you are preaching the gospel of life, hope, healing and repentance to those who have committed abortions. You are making satan mad because you are snatching souls from the brink of hell with your courageous truth-telling. If we don’t give the broken-hearted Jesus, we give them nothing. God bless you Anne, we are all praying for you, dear.
Thanks Mu Mu yes its been a hard year with all sorts of persecution and also health issue. but this past week had a marvellous success and it makes it worthwhile. One of my “girls” finally said quietly “Yes Anne I believe that Jesus took my sin on the Cross and He forgives me and my baby too” this after months of refusing and saying that she does not deserve to be ever forgiven and her baby hates her and God hates her. She is not catholic but of a different Christian denomination. This is when I believe we reach the upward journey the real belief in her sorrow and that God has seen her grief, that is her repentence for her action. Now we start the relinquishing. But I wont do this till early next year because this part of the journey needs to be done well otherwise there will come a crisis where again the temptation will be to think “this is my punishment because of my abortion” i hope that all of my clients when completed with me never do that again. No matter what the crisis.
Keep well Mu Mu
We must open our mouths and preach the gospel of life, with the help of the Holy Spirit. Here’s a little article on it:
The Pro-Life Thing (and the New Evangelization).
Mu Mu read this. http://www.ad2000.com.au/articles/2012/oct2012p11_3886.html
you might like it, A lady I know well.
Beautifully put, Anne. I think this needs reprinting in Thanksgiving. We must indeed give people the gift of the truth. Reading this article is very timely and encouraging as a small group of us is working on a “gospel of life” leaflet to hand out to passers-by, the vast majority of whom have not a clue, in certain prolife contexts,. We have a grave duty to at least give them the basics. If it gets approved I’ll send you one. An exciting project which needs your prayers. God Bless you Anne.
Thanks Mu Mu I have had 5 articles in AD2000 since August, one each month. have a look at them all woman related and the December one will be a beauty about Holy Innocents and Rachel’s weeping.
Also look on my blog same name have put stuff (a new one last week) surrounding issues.
Hope you like them. Ket me know.
this ad is completely illogical.
First and foremost they are talking about women’s rights, and have not given a thought to the future unborn baby girls who turn into women. Secondly who would let their daughters participate in an add promoting the death of children?
I bet the little girls in this ad would be shocked to hear of what happens to these little people, shame shame to those who made this ad. I wonder if Obama has factored in an extra budget for mental healthcare regarding post abortion syndrome? Oh wait that does not exsist……..
Cathy it supposedly does not exist because the APA has a position statement on this topic of abortion trauma and grief. And the APA is made of of you guessed it! google American Psycholigical Assocation position paper on abortion and see what they say and then google Prof. Priscilla K Coleman’s latest meta nanlysis 2011 and see the difference. And no Mr Obama will not fund for healing of post abortion grief because his friends say it does not exist.
Ann, I have had a lot of experience with women suffering post abortion syndrome, my comment was merely sarcastic in regard to abortion syndrome not exsisting. It is a very real mental illness that women are forced to suffer in silence because of the textbook attitude that it does not exsist. Many women suffer depression suicidal thoughts and many other problems and do not make the connection that it is connected to tha abortion/s that thy had because they are told that they would not suffer any aftermath.
Ann I just realized that you too have had experience with this particular area, Thankyou so much for your work! It is wonderful and rewarding !
God Bless You!
Thanks Cathy it is the best work on earth and important thats why we need to get to the secular therapists otherwise it become a “religious” probelm, that is only those who have a faith belief suffer but most dont. This is the stand taken. So the work must be to change the DSM to recognise this new grief… We can but try.
