I contributed a guest post to Campion College’s To The Core blog this week, which I had never heard of prior to the invitation.
Moreover, I’ve only browsed the blog since I submitted my post, and it occurs to me that To The Core is a bit more academic than my musings here, or indeed my offering over there. (My piece is on St Thomas More, and will be published some time next week I think.)
It’s a great blog, which boasts a variety of contributors writing on a variety of subjects. I recommend it.

Well one of biggest Country Cups is on tomorrow Dunkeld! It is Fr. John Corrigan territory!
I haven’t been to the Dunkeld races but I have been there. I climed Mout Pinnalce in Year Five and I went on retreat there in Year 11.
St. Mary Mackillop dad died in Dunkeld he was there visiting a relative but is buried at Hamilton! It that righ Fr. John!
A former Prime Minister use to have farm near Dunkeld called Nareen Station he moved some where else now.
Ihave heard the current Premire Denis Naphine will be there tomorrow. But I also Craig Huctchtings and Dr. Turf are broadcasting a show Off the bench you listen oline or your app or on 882 3yb or 981 3HA they are warrnambool and Hamilton am radio stations!
Dunkeld were going to bring back jumps races about 10 years ago but season got shorten and that was that. Last time they had jumps there was in 1930.

Many years now Dunkeld was a non tab but few years ago it’s a tab so people can have a bet and watch it from home or at the pub. The views are spectular!
Now for my tips.
Race 1 No4,10,11, and 1.
Race2 No11,1,9 and 6.
Race 3 No12,3,5 and 13. Number 12 is called Goldies Lass one of my bests for tomorrow.
Race4 No6,9,1 and 4.
Race5 No. 5,7,14 and 11.
Race6No4 Surprise me is another of my specials for tomorrow. my anothe numbers are 3,13, and 11.
Race 7 Is the cup the winner gets $15,000 ! My tips are 5,6,11 and 1.
Race8 My numbers are 11,4,2 and 3.
Race 9 No12,9,11 and 2. Number 12 is an emerncy at the moment.
Finally Dunkeld only has one race meeting so this is it! The track itself is near the cementry. Dunkeld also has a golfcourse. Now I must not forget too mention Donald Cup is on Sunday too. It’s a TAB meeting too. Well the pairsh priest Fr. Eugene Mackinnon love this horse racing I wish you all the best and safte trip home from the races this weekend!
